Currently have a evaluation version of Enesys RS Data Extension 2008 software installed on same server as SQL 2008 and BIDS.  When I got to publish the report, it gives me the following error,

"Error 1 An attempt has been made to use a data extension 'ERSDE2008' that is either not registered for this report server or is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services. "

I tried that and it says, "Could not find iisreset.exe.  For changes to be affected on this instance, you manually reset IIS."  Is IIS required on the machine?  I don't seem to see it under the "Administrative Tools". 

Indeed SSRS 2008 does not rely anymore on IIS. That should not prevent configuration however. One thing I’m not sure, had you already run the server configuration tool when you receive the error you mentioned in your first post?

If not, are you still receiving the error after configuration?

If yes, could you try the following :

Run Reporting Services configuration manager

Stop the report server.

Start the report server again.
