I'm building a query with Enesys Sharepoint Query builder, with just one column selected, run the query, got the following error:

"Exception of type 'Microsoft.Sharepoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException' was thrown",

What can cause that?

Hi,

Could you let me know the exact Enesys RS Data Extension version you are using?

Can you possibly send me your query?

Do you get this problem with any list or a specific list only?

What type of list are you using (calendar, tasks, custom, document library, …)?

For this specific list, do you get the same error whatever the column?

You can send us your query by email if you prefer.

Here are the answers to your question:

Version 0.9.118.1941

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<root xmlns="http://enesyssoftware.com/schemas">
  <queryName></queryName>
  <description></description>
  <list title="Sample Request" relativeSiteUrl="/securelibrary/AmericasProductDev/" tableName="Sample Request">
    <fields>Color_x0020_Name</fields>
    <query></query>
  </list>
  <resultSet>Sample Request</resultSet>
</root>

Specific list

Infopath form library

Yes. We get the same error whatever the column is.

Hi,

The version you provided is not related to Enesys RS Data Extension. To obtain the version (client side), you can run the client configuration tool (available from Enesys Program’s group).

We do not have any problem here for retrieving data from an InfoPath form library.

Could you send us your InfoPath form template so that we can install it and make some tests?

Figure it out. Here is the problem.

There is a property called "Paging" in the Enesys Query builder, it default to be 4000, change it to 2000 instead, then it works. Because the sharepoint list we're querying is too big, the error is caused probably by out of memory.

Glad you could figure it out. You are certainly right concerning the cause of the soap exception.

Though on our performance tests, the default 4000 items chunk work properly, it is the second time a customer encounters such a problem with this default value.

We will lower the default value to 2000 items in the next version.
