When i try to create a report it says "A connection cannot be made to the database. Set and check the connection string."

Hi Kevin,

By new data source, do you mean a new Shared Data Source?
I suppose you could choose "Enesys SharePoint Lists" as the Data Source Type?

Could you tell me exactly when you get this error? When you run the query in the data view?

Are you trying to use the Report Wizard? If so, and in order to make things simple, could you rather "add a new item" and then select a "Report".

I'm sorry to answer with so many questions.

It could be Credentials problem but we'll see that later depending on your answers.

This is a shared data source. Type= ENESYSSPS   Connection String: server=http://aunswsp01

I do a new report, select data source following selecting Sharepoint data source hit next and get the error at the bottom.

I have credentials set at windows authentification and am logged on as administrator

Cheers

Kevin

Hi,
The type should be "Enesys SharePoint Lists" once the extension is loaded correctly within the development environment.
Are you using  VSNET2003 or  Report Designer 2005 environment?
Did you close and re opened the report builder after ERSDE installation and configuration?

There must be something wrong with the configuration? Like if the dll was not found.
Are you sure you copied the appropriate dll version? (2000 or 2005)?
Can you double check you put the dll in the appropriate folder depending on the Reporting Services version (2000 or 2005) you are using?
Can you double check as well your config file?
