Only one usage of each socket address

Hello,

I created a report using the Enesys data extension in a dev environment and recently sent it to the QA team for testing. They tried to run the report and it ran for 45 seconds and then spit out this error:

An error has occurred during report processing.
Query execution failed for data set 'ContractLevelData'.
  RollUpList - Error while enumerating webs - Unable to connect to the remote server
   Unable to connect to the remote server
    Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

Any thoughts on what's causing it, and how to resolve it?

Hi,

We have already encountered this problem when performing integration tests (which are issuing many calls in a very short time) due to the way Web Services connections are handled by default under IIS6. We could solve this by increasing available ports (Registry) as explained in the following post (http://blogs.msdn.com/dgorti/archive/2005/09/18/470766.aspx).

That said, I am curious about how you could get this problem by running one report. Just a few questions:

Does your report contain multiple datasets
How many lists are you rolling up?
Does it happen systematically (each time you run the report)?
Could you possibly send a copy of the report (.rdl file) to our support address?
Could you provide us additional information about your architecture (Servers – OS version – SQL version – SSRS installation mode)?
