We would like to wish all of our customers and partners all over the world a happy new year 2010.

This is also the opportunity to provide you with some information about the various projects that have kept us busy lately.

Moving to a new office

First of all, Enesys is moving to a new office. Though, the new location is quite near from our current one, this is still a lot of things to take care. Hopefully, we should be done by the end of the week.

Web site

We have recently revamped our web site. Besides the improved design, the idea was to simplify and to provide better access to the information.

The “Downloads” section provides more detailed information about the released date and the minimum maintenance end data that is necessary to run a specific version.

The Knowledge Base section has been re factored and you can expect newer article soon on a more regular basis.

A content translation into French is currently undergoing.

To improve the overall search experience, we have implemented Google Search for Enterprise.

There still are a few improvements that we expect to bring in the coming weeks.

Enesys IS Data Extension

By the end of the week or early next week, we will be releasing Enesys IS Data Extension Beta, a solution that will let you extract and transform your SharePoint data using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services. Even though we call it beta, we are more in a release candidate phase. Enesys IS Data Extension shares the same technology as our Reporting Services data extension.

Enesys RS Data Extension

We are now working on two major features.

Mix your SharePoint data with SQL Data  the easy way. Though it is already possible to combine both SQL and SharePoint data using our “xmlQuery” statement, you need to rely on a specific page that will render your sql data into XML. In the next version, we will provide a way to query directly your SQL Server.

Performance improvement when joining large lists. We will come up with an interesting solution for optimizing SharePoint lists joins. Stay tune.

We are looking forward to bring you better features, products and support during 2010.

Happy New Year!
